Schneider Digital at the Laval Virtual 2025

Experience the future: 3D technology live in Laval

Schneider Digital was once again part of Laval Virtual, Europe’s most important trade fair for immersive technologies, in 2025. At stand A53-D in the German Pavilion, the team presented pioneering 3D solutions that take modern visualization to a new level.

Visitors were able to see our hardware solutions for themselves on site:

  • High-performance workstations for demanding XR applications
  • PluraView stereo monitors for flicker-free 3D stereo
  • LED large-screen installations for immersive experiences in large format

Three intensive days full of exciting discussions, technical insights and personal encounters made the trade fair a real highlight. The entire Schneider Digital team would like to thank everyone who visited the stand and experienced the setup live.

Looking ahead

The show continues in May – with the XR Expo in Stuttgart and XPONENTIAL in Houston, Texas. Schneider Digital is looking forward to the next events, exciting discussions and presenting immersive technologies live once again.

Die Wahl des richtigen 3D-Monitortyps

Choosing the right type of 3D monitor

To help you decide, Josef Schneider compares active and passive 3D monitors in Surveying News: The world of 3D technology has made considerable progress and 3D monitors in particular now offer impressive viewing experiences. There are two main types of 3D monitors: active and passive. Active 3D monitors use shutter glasses that alternately display images to each eye, which allows for higher resolution and more intense depth perception, but can be more expensive and eye-straining. Passive 3D monitors use lighter, polarized glasses that flicker less and are less expensive, but generally offer lower image quality. The choice of a suitable monitor depends on individual requirements: Active 3D is suitable for more intensive applications such as films and games, while passive 3D is ideal for more cost-effective and eye-friendly solutions, particularly in the GIS and mapping sector.
