OpenXR Middleware verbindet über 2.000 HMD-fähige
VR-Anwendungen per Plug & Play mit jedem 3D-Gerät

Immersa XR Bridge: OpenXR middleware connects over 2,000 HMD-enabled VR applications to any 3D device via plug & play.

The new plug-and-play bridge for OpenXR: Immersa XR Bridge

Seamlessly connects 3D software
with stereoscopic hardware

For decades, Schneider Digital has been synonymous with high-end hardware solutions in the field of 3D stereo visualization. With our new OpenXR middleware Immersa XR Bridge, we are bridging the gap between software and hardware—making stereoscopic visualization easier and more accessible than ever before.

Our Immersa XR Bridge middleware enables existing 3D applications to connect to stereoscopic hardware via plug-and-play. Software manufacturers do not need to develop their own drivers or complex 3D stereo implementations. Instead, they use an open interface that is immediately compatible with a wide range of applications and devices. OpenXR is the open standard for XR and VR applications and is supported by a wide range of devices. Using the OpenXR middleware Immersa XR-Bridge, these applications now also run directly on stereoscopic visualization solutions, e.g., on the stereoscopic 3D PluraView monitor.

Why middleware?

Until now, the use of stereoscopic hardware often involved considerable development effort. Software manufacturers had to develop their own implementations, which required special expertise and time. As a result, many innovative applications were unable to take advantage of the benefits of true 3D stereo display.
Josef J. Schneider Gründer und CEO Schneider Digital GmbH
With Immersa XR Bridge, we have built the bridge for a unique VR ecosystem, bringing users together in a meeting with VR headsets, desktop 3D monitors, and large VR room installations.

Enabling instant interaction in all open XR applications, our intuitive interaction with a 3D cursor combined with (6DoF) SpaceMouse navigation in all 3D stereoscopy and VR environments, even in collaboration sessions.”

Technological
innovation in detail

Compared to some other concepts on the market, Schneider Digital’s Immersa XR Bridge middleware goes one crucial step further.

We deliver our hardware with specific capabilities directly as an OpenXR device.

This creates a deeper level of integration that enables new feature sets.

Users can even interact with the entire GUI—a clear competitive advantage.

Modular design.
Flexible application.

The architecture of the Immersa XR Bridge middleware combines several modules into a powerful overall system. This modular architecture not only enables deep hardware integration, but also high scalability for future requirements.

    Unique added value

    Open visualization systems

A key advantage of Immersa XR-Bridge is its support for open visualization systems. This turns 3D visualization into a genuine team experience—whether in architectural planning, medical case discussions, or industrial design workshops.

Unlike traditional VR headsets, LED walls, 3D projectors, and stereo monitors are not limited to individual users.
Multiple people can view, discuss, and edit the same content at the same time.
This increases acceptance, as results can be evaluated in groups and decisions can be made jointly.
