Radeon™ ProRender Game Engine Importer for Unreal® Engine 4.17 is used in conjunction with the Radeon ProRender add-in for SOLIDWORKS® to import models from SOLIDWORKS complete with the appearances defined in SOLIDWORKS.

This Radeon ProRender Game Engine Importer for Unreal Engine can be either installed to individual projects, or to the (Unreal Engine 4.17 location)\Engine\Plugins\Editor directory to be available in all projects. After installation, enable the plug-in via the plug-in manager.

Note: If you updated to Microsoft Windows® 10 Fall Creators Update, verify that OpenCL™ support is enabled on your graphics card.

Radeon ProRender Game Engine Importer Highlights

    • Support for importing .frs files saved via the Radeon ProRender add-in for SOLIDWORKS
    • Automatic conversion from SOLIDWORKS appearances to UE shaders, including texture import.
    • Ability to enable physics on import
    • Support for advanced collision detection (Convex Decomposition Collision) which improves the ability to move through openings in imported models.

Fixed Issues

    • This is the first release.

Known Issues

    • Models with Decals applied may not import correctly.
